2. Using the site
You may browse, read and use the free tools for your own business purposes. Please don’t try to break, overload or scrape the site, or use the forms to send spam.
3. Demos, examples and concept builds
Many parts of this site are demonstrations. Anything labelled Example, Sample, Demo or Concept uses fictional businesses, fictional figures or fictional people, and is not a claim about real results. The concept websites (Northpeak Roofing, Fennel & Fire, Northside Family Dental and Studio Halo) are businesses we made up to show what we can build. They are not client work; their addresses, phone numbers, prices and opening times are invented; and the reviews on them are sample reviews we wrote, labelled as such. People in their photos are models from stock photo libraries, not staff.
4. The free tools
The site check loads the page you enter once, the way a visitor would, and grades what it finds. Only check websites you own or have permission to test. Its results, the keyword ideas, the redesign preview and the planner are automated estimates: a starting point, not a full audit, a quote, or a guarantee of search rankings, mentions by AI assistants or sales.
5. Prices
Prices on this site are in Canadian dollars, plus HST/GST. Each website build is a separate, one-time price, quoted in writing before work starts. Care plans are a monthly price on top of that, with no setup fee or other charges of their own. If a price on this site is ever wrong, we’ll tell you before you commit, and you won’t be charged more than the price you agreed to.
6. Content and intellectual property
The text, design, code and graphics of this site belong to Pinlight or are used under licence (see the licence list). You may quote short passages with a link back. Fonts and libraries are used under their own open licences.
7. Links
Links to other sites are there because they’re useful. We’re not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
8. No guarantees
We work hard to keep this site accurate and available, but it’s provided as is. Nothing here is legal, tax or financial advice. Statistics are cited with their sources and dates; check the source before relying on a number.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Pinlight is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can’t be limited by law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
11. Changes
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date above. The version on the site when you use it applies.
